No benefits will be provided during the first 12 months after the effective date of the Student Select policy for any preexisting condition as defined in this policy, unless continuity applies. A preexisting condition is an illness or injury, whether disclosed at the time of application or not: for which the covered person received medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or services from a physician within the 12-month period prior to the covered person's effective date; or that produced signs or manifested symptoms within the 12-month period prior to the covered person's effective date.
